About the Class
Beginner to intermediate Yoga class. This class focuses on mind/ body awareness, breath work, balance, and flexibility. Many Yoga poses can be adapted to all body types. We will work on variations, modifications, and alternative poses for anyone wanting to experience Yoga. I would like to erase the myth of 'I could never do that' when the word Yoga is brought up! However, you should be able to fully get down to the floor to get the most out of this class. If that is not an option for you, know that there are options out there--please ask me for more information! Bring a water bottle. The instructor has some mats, but feel free to bring your own!
About the Instructor
Lanelle has been ERYT200 Certified for Yoga since 2019, and has taught Yoga at 4th Avenue Yoga Studio, and Shalom Lutheran Church, and also recently started teaching parent/child Yoga classes. As a nurse with 32 years of experience, she tries to incorporate science and anatomy into her classes as well as time honored traditional Yoga philosophy. Lanelle believes that the ancient arts of meditation and Yogic wisdom fit well with todays modern health, wellness, and science practices. She believes everyone can benefit from the ripple down effects that Yoga offers, and that every BODY is capable. Lanelle has three grown children, as well as a teenager still at home. She is the proud grandmother of three who have brought about a love of instilling the generational teachings of Yoga to kids of all ages.
